Agent-Enhanced Dynamic Service Level Agreement in Future Network Environments
نویسندگان
چکیده
Current network infrastructures are experiencing rapid transformation from providing mere connectivity, to a wider range of flexible network services with Quality of Service (QoS). We propose an agentenhanced system that facilitates dynamic Service Level Agreement (SLA) activities, such as end-to-end QoS specifications and service price negotiations in such an environment. A prototype system consisting of real-time Java-based agents that interacts with a simulated network was developed to demonstrate scenarios and enable analysis. The studies show that this form of dynamic SLA negotiation introduces many innovative ways on how network services can be provisioned. This paper also highlights the effects of implementing dynamic connection bandwidth pricing on traffic load and network provider’s revenues.

A flexible bandwidth resource provisioning system with agent-enhanced SLA negotiation
We present a novel bandwidth resource provisioning system that enables dynamic, flexible and quantitative end-to-end bandwidth reservation and management. The system facilitates agent-enhanced Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiation and brokering on a per-user, per-application or per-flow basis. In this paper, various session level SLA schemes involving bandwidth allocation, service start tim...
متن کاملService Level Agreement Requirements of an Accounting-Driven Computational Grid
In this paper we present the requirements of a national computing Grid. In particular we discuss the issues involved in managing complex policies of multiple stakeholders in such a large-scale, dynamic, and heterogeneous Grid. We also propose a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and agent-based architecture to address these issues. This work is a continuation of the work performed and experiences ga...
متن کاملSelf-organization Combining Incentives and Risk Management for a Dynamic Service-Oriented Multi-agent System
Companies are nowadays placed in very complex and dynamic environments, making their competitiveness mandatory. This competitiveness can also be achieved through the reconfiguration of systems’ network. In this paper, high level of self-organization of service-oriented multi-agent systems is explored, aiming to achieve more trustworthy and automatic reconfiguration processes, in dynamic and ope...

We present a policy-based, agent-enhanced resource provisioning architecture, which facilitates flexible and quantitative end-to-end bandwidth reservation and management on a per-user, per-application or per-flow basis. Based on this architecture, various session level Service Level Agreement (SLA) negotiation schemes involving bandwidth allocation, service start time, guaranteed session durati...
متن کاملSecuring the Internet metering and billing
In the near future, billing for network services will not only be concerned with time or volume based accounting but also in ways of measuring the quality of the service provided. Dynamic price schemes such as congestion-based charging have been proposed. In some of these models, the charging infrastructure relies on the distribution of electronic tariffs to end-users machines. The tariff struc...
